To be honest, my given name is Rodrigo, but no one has ever called me that, not even my parents. So, feel free to pick one of these names listed on the side︎
I’m 100% Brazilian, the name is the only Japanese factor I inherited. The creativity I bring to work is fully bred in Brazil, where I started my career 14 years ago.
Honestly, I wish I had some kind of inspiring story about how I got into advertising, but the truth is that I just crossed out all the subjects I sucked at in school until advertising was the only thing left. Not the smartest way to make a decision, but it turned out okay for me in the end.
I've had a pretty wild ride, from doing housekeeping in Australia to living in Dubai for six years, but I finally made it to where I've always wanted to be: New York City!
Aside from advertising, I'm also super into photography and traveling. I'm not much of a soccer fan, though, so don't waste your breath talking to me about it. We can definitely chat about music, podcasts, books, movies, pop-culture, surfing, skateboarding, and all those irreverent TikTok trends.
